Police reports from Northmont area law enforcement agencies

The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Monday, June 13

City of Union

Report 16-033566: Unknown subjects removed a stove and refrigerator from a home on Bedford Farm Circle. The owner of the home believes the appliances may have been removed by a former property manager. The case is under investigation.

Sunday, June 19

City of Union

Report 16-034792: Police pulled a vehicle over that was accelerating rapidly and slamming on its brakes in a residential neighborhood. After stopping the vehicle is was discover a male and female occupant were having a physical altercation. Neither party wished to press charges against the other. The driver, April M. Doepel, 34, of Union, was issued a citation for speeding.

Friday, June 24

Clay Township

Report 16-1714-06: Police responded to the Sunoco station at State Route 49 and National Road on the report of a possible overdose. A female subject had used the restroom, came outside and collapsed. A female who contacted police and a Sunoco employee administered CPR while waiting for police and medics to arrive. Police found a hypodermic needle in the victim’s purse. Phillipsburg Medics removed the victim from the scene. The female who reported the incident had a warrant for her arrest, but it was outside of the pickup radius. She was released from the scene.

Monday, June 27

City of Clayton

Report 16-1466: Unknown subjects removed a Stihl leaf blower and two Stihl string trimmers from the bed of a pickup truck parked in the 4100 block of Honeybrook Ave.

City of Englewood

Report 16-036340: Unknown subjects stole a central air conditioning unit from a home in the 200 block of Brownstone Dr.

16-036343: James E. Lineberry, 48, at large, was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

16-036360: Timothy S. Ball, 20, of Englewood, was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

16-036407: Joseph A. Broyles, 22, of West Milton, was charged with domestic violence and Stacy L. Masters, 40, of Englewood was charged with assault. Broyles was transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Charges for Masters were forwarded to Vandalia Municipal Court.

Clay Township

Report 16-1749-06: Dustin D.W. Kenworthy, 27, of Hollandsburg, was charged with driving under financial responsibility act suspension, failure to file application for vehicle registration, fictitious registration and possession of heroin. His vehicle was towed by Englewood Truck. Kenworthy was issued a court summons and released.

Wednesday, June 29

City of Clayton

Report 16-1475: During a traffic stop police discovered a passenger in the vehicle was a wanted subject. During a pat-down search police found a hypodermic needle on the subject. Brittany Francis, 34, of Dayton 45410, was charged with possessing drug abuse instruments and was arrested on warrant issued by Riverside Police. Francis was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 16-1482: A 2015 Chevrolet Camaro belonging to a resident of Taywood Road was involved in an accident in Butler Township and was found sitting in a yard on Little York Road. When the owner was contacted he said his car should be parked in his driveway. When he checked the car was gone. He stated he parked it in the driveway at 7:30 p.m. and had left the keys in the car. The owner was informed that his car was being towed and that he should contact the towing company to look at his car to see if there was an property missing.

City of Englewood

Report 16-036748: The theft of a cell phone from a shopping cart was reported at Kroger.

16-036793: Chelsea D. Curtis, 26, of Dayton 45417, was arrested by Butler Twp. Police on an Englewood warrant. Curtis was released to an Englewood officer and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

16-036936: A 17-year-old male was charged with being unruly. Charges were forwarded to Montgomery County Juvenile Court.

City of Union

Report 16-036600: Jeremy A. Petrakos, 29, of Union, was charged with domestic violence and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Thursday, June 30

City of Englewood

Report 16-036998: Unknown subjects stole a lawn mower from a carport in the 900 block of Englewood Drive.

City of Union

Report 16-036841: Jennifer L. Jackson, 26, of Cape Girardeau, MO, was arrested on four active warrants. She was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 16-037047: Menacing was reported in the 9200 block of N. Main St.

Saturday, July 2

City of Englewood

Report 16-037392: Kathy A. Hollon, 44, of Brookville, was charged with theft and criminal trespass at Wal-Mart. She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

16-037455: Police responded to Meijer on a suspicious fall. A male was having difficulty standing or walking. A relative advised that the man had fallen previously. The ground was wet from where the male spilled an alcoholic beverage. The relative stated the man had been drinking and was drug user. The man was placed in an Englewood Medic unit and after receiving Narcan his condition improved. He was transported to Samaritan North Health Center Emergency Room. Randy R. Ray, 43, of West Milton, was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated. He was issued a court summons.

Sunday, July 3

City of Englewood

Report 16-037526: Charles P. Warren, Jr., 26, of Englewood, was charged with domestic violence and theft at the Chateau Apartments. He was gone when police arrived. Charges were forwarded to Vandalia Municipal Court which will issue a summons to appear.

16-037605: Police responded to the Comfort Inn on the report of a theft. The victim advised that on July 2 she discovered she had lost her wallet. When she checked the front desk she learned the wallet had been turned in by another guest. The other guest told the victim the wallet had $200 in it when he turned it in. The night clerk said the wallet had no money inside when it was turned in. A surveillance camera revealed a male subject picking up the wallet near the third floor vending machines and then getting on an elevator. After exiting the elevator on the ground floor he walks past the night clerk and out into the parking lot. A short time later he re-enters the building and hands the wallet to the clerk. The clerk looks through the wallet to find the owner’s identification but the officer could not determine from the footage if any cash was in the wallet. The clerk then placed the wallet in the manager’s office where it was locked up.
