Police reports from Northmont area law enforcement agencies

The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Thursday, July 21

Clay Township

Report 16-2028-07: Police responded to the 10600 block of W. National Rd. to assist the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center with enforcement action regarding the living conditions and health of numerous dogs and cats on the property. ARC personnel conducted an investigation and found conditions of neglect and were going to seize all the animals present on the property. Inside the house there was an overpowering odor of urine throughout the residence, feces, dirt and other filth on all the floors, trash scattered throughout the house, rotting food on dishes on the counter tops, a sink full of dirty dishes in standing water that had mold growing in it and hundreds of flies and maggots. The roof had collapsed in one room forcing a juvenile female to sleep on a couch which was also filthy. The house was found to be unfit for human habitation. Child Protective Service was notified and arrangements made for the juvenile to stay with her grandparents.

City of Union

Report 16-041588: The theft of a FedEx package containing gun ammunition was reported in the 300 block of Lutz Dr.

Sunday, July 24

City of Union

Report 16-041708: Michael R. Niswonger, 27, of Union, was charged with driving under the influence and reckless operation. He was issued a court summons and released to a sober driver.

Report 16-041716: Jeffrey S. Stickler, 47, of Union, was charged with kidnapping, unlawful restraint, aggravated menacing and using weapons while intoxicated after police responded to the report of a fight between a boyfriend and girlfriend in the 800 block of W. Martindale Rd. Stickler was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Tuesday, July 26

Clay Township

Report 16-2079-07: The theft of cash by a concession stand employee was reported at Melody 49 Twin Drive-In movie theatre. No charges were filed.

Friday, July 29

City of Clayton

Report 16-1758: Elder Noel Meza Portillo, 22, of Honduras, was charged with driving under the influence and no operator’s license after colliding with the right rear of another car while traveling north on State Route 48. He was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

City of Union

Report 16-042838: Two female juveniles were charged with violating the city curfew. They were issued a court summons.

Saturday, July 30

City of Union

Report 16-042846: Jeffrey R. Drees, 52, of Union, was arrested on a felony warrant out of Montgomery County for operating a vehicle intoxicated. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Sunday, July 31

City of Union

Report 16-043118: Anthony L. Foster, 27, of Union, was charged with domestic violence and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Clay Township

Report 16-2147-07: The theft of personal checks was reported at a residence in the 6000 block of Brookville-Salem Rd. The victim stated that he let a homeless female with a drug problem stay at his home because he felt sorry for her. After she left he noticed some of his checks were taken and cashed.

Monday, Aug. 1

City of Union

Report 16-043350: After purchasing a home at a sheriff’s sale the new owner had to evict the former resident giving her until the end of July to vacate. When he arrived on Aug. 1 the new owner discovered the overhead kitchen cabinets, a built in microwave and dishwasher and all the doorknobs in the home had been stolen. The new owner stated he would not press charges if the female returned the items.

Clay Township

Report 16-2156-08: An officer came into contact with two people in a car parked in a private driveway that the officer knew was someone else’s residence. The passenger was found to be a wanted subject. Willie M. Stanley, 46, of Springfield, was arrested on a warrant from Bellefontaine Municipal Court for failure to pay required fees. Due to Stanley’s size and weight a jail transport van was dispatched to the arrest site. He was then transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 16-2160-08: Tye Smith, 38, of Miamisburg, during a traffic stop was arrested on a warrant issued by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office. Smith was taken into custody, transported to the Medway exit off Interstate 70 and released to a Greene County deputy.

Tuesday, Aug. 2

City of Union

Report 16-043509: The theft of mail was reported on Bowman Court.

Report 16-043517: A Chase Debit Card was found on Mill Ridge Circle and turned over to police.

Report 16-043573: Dylan Howe, 24, of Wagoner, OK, and Joseph E. Umphrey, 34, of Evansville, IN, were each charged with solicitation permit required. Each was issued a court summons.

Wednesday, Aug. 3

City of Clayton

Report 16-1821: Deandrae L. Gordon, 28, of Trotwood, was charged with failure to obey a traffic control device, driving under suspension, and license plates belonging to another vehicle. He was issued a court summons and released.

Report 16-1825: Unknown subjects threw eggs at a vehicle and house on Deville Drive. A BMX bike was also stolen from the side yard.

Wednesday, Aug. 4

City of Union

Report 16-043800: The theft of a FedEx package containing a TV was reported on Old Mill Road.

Report 16-043969: Jesse L. Templeton, 34, of Dayton 45404, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was issued a court summons and released.

Saturday, Aug. 6

City of Clayton

Report 16-1851: Dlaquan J. Pollard, 27, of Dayton 45417, was charged with speeding, driving under suspension, child support suspension, and was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Sunday, Aug. 7

City of Clayton

Report 16-1872: William Joseph Willis, Sr., 70, of Clayton, was charged with driving under the influence, driving under DUI suspension, marked lanes of travel, possession of drugs, and no operator’s license. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 16-1874: Unknown subjects damaged a windshield on a car parked in the 6500 block of Taywood Road. It appeared the damage was caused by a BB or pellet gun.
