Northmont area police reports

The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Thursday, Sept. 10

City of Clayton

Report 15-1730: Ryan C. Hobson, 20, of Clayton, was charged with trafficking in drugs (marijuana). Police collected a DNA sample from Hobson and transported him to the county jail. Inside a vehicle he was occupying officers found $486 cash, a small plastic bag containing approximately one gram of marijuana, numerous plastic bags, approximately 20 grams of marijuana inside a large plastic bag, an electronic scale and a plastic container with suspected marijuana residue inside.

Saturday, Sept. 12

Clay Township

Report 15-2259-09: Gregory L. Reaves, 41, of Brookville, was charged with menacing. Charges were forwarded to Western Division Court.

Monday, Sept. 14

City of Clayton

Report 15-1754: Unknown subjects removed a Diamond Edge bow and six carbon fiber arrows from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway on Ashbrook Road. The victim believes the theft took place over the weekend.

Report 15-1756: Unknown subjects broke into a shed in the 7700 block of Crestway Drive and removed a Stihl Farm Boss chainsaw.

Report 15-1757: Felony theft was reported on Vinay Court where a van was broken into. A wooden nightstand, several expensive Michigan football game jerseys and a laptop computer were stolen. The victim was notified by someone that his ex-girlfriend was responsible for the theft.

Report 15-1755: Breaking and entering to a detached barn was reported in the 7700 block of Crestway Drive. A green Ryobi weed eater, two battery packs, a battery charger and a Poulan Pro chainsaw were removed from the barn and two packs of cigarettes removed from the dashboard of a pickup truck.

Report 15-1753: An unlocked 1998 Pontiac Bonneville was stolen from a driveway in the 500 block of Salem Street. Several items were removed from the vehicle and placed on the ground before the vehicle was stolen. A second vehicle in the driveway had its passenger side window smashed and a woman’s wallet, jewelry and other miscellaneous items removed.

City of Englewood

Report 15-050252: A 16-year-old female was charged with being a runaway juvenile. She was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery Juvenile Detention Center.

Clay Township

Report 15-2278-09: A vehicle struck a brick driveway pillar and knocked it over in the 8000 block of Upper Lewisburg-Salem Rd.

Tuesday, Sept. 15

City of Clayton

Report 15-1759: Unknown subjects flattened the passenger side front tire on a vehicle parked in the 8000 block of N. Main Street. The right side plastic molding along the bottom of the vehicle was also torn away, scratches made to the right side of the vehicle and the front bumper torn loose.

Clay Township

Report 15-2297-09: Anh Kyle Chi Phu, 20, of Huber Heights, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and driving without headlights. He was issued a court summons and released.

Wednesday, Sept. 16

City of Clayton

Report 15-1767: Gregory A. Madden, 45, of Richmond, IN, was arrested on an active warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to the county jail.

City of Englewood

Report 15-050582: Unknown subjects broke into a vehicle parked at the Clarion Inn and removed a black bag from the trunk containing approximately 20 beer mugs and wine glasses, a bag containing a 500 GB external hard drive and an Amtrak ID pass.

Report 15-050604: Danton C. Williams, 23, of Dayton 45405, was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. He was issued a court summons and released.

Report 15-050637: Unknown subjects broke the driver’s door lock on a vehicle parked at the Clarion Inn and gained entry to the vehicle. Nothing appeared to be missing from the interior.

Thursday, Sept. 17

City of Englewood

Report 15-050674: Tanea D. Reed, 22, of Trotwood, was charged with menacing at Waffle House. Charges were forwarded to Vandalia Municipal Court which will issue Reed a court summons.

Report 15-050817: An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the LaRosa’s parking lot and removed $200 cash from the center console.
