TIPP CITY — Ginghamsburg Church in Tipp City will open its doors for its 9th Annual Sudan Christmas Bazaar on Sunday, December 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For the ninth-consecutive year, children and their families at Ginghamsburg have been challenged to use their gifts, talents and passions to create items to raise money for The Sudan Project (thesudanproject.org).
The project is the church’s global effort to aid the war-torn countries of Sudan and South Sudan. Since 2005, the church has raised $7 million to support sustainable humanitarian projects. All items at the bazaar are made and created by Ginghamsburg kids. Last year, $22,000 was raised for the project through the bazaar, and over the past eight years, the children and their families have raised more than $101,000.
This year hundreds of families and groups will gather again to bring hope to Sudan and South Sudan by selling jewelry, ornaments, scarves, homemade pet treats, a gift-wrapping station and more. In addition booths will have baked goods, including a variety of homemade candies, cookies and hot chocolate. The Bazaar will even have a Vintage Sale area this year where you can pick up a variety of eclectic items. In addition, there will be a silent auction area for people to bid on everything from themed gift baskets to free services donated by local businesses.
And if shopping is not your thing, come out and enjoy live entertainment as Ginghamsburg’s very own child musicians take the stage. In addition there will be plenty of fun activities for the entire family, including a professional face painter and games for kids. Attendees can even have their family photo or pictures with Santa taken with Sharon Elaine Photography at highly discounted rates. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Sudan Project, and 100% will be used to continue to rebuild lives in Sudan and South Sudan. Join the fun this year to not only honor Jesus on HIS birthday, but encourage children to do their part to change the world.
Ginghamsburg’s Sudan Christmas Bazaar is free and open to the public on Sunday, December 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The bazaar will be held at the Tipp City Campus in the Avenue located at 6759 South County Road 25A.
