BROOKVILLE — The Northmont NJROTC is holding its second annual ‘Chili Cook-Off’ on Saturday, January 9 at 6 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) located at 210 Carr Dr., Brookville.
Part of the proceeds raised will benefit the Nasya Nation Foundation, which is devoted to helping families while fighting DIPG, a rare fatal brain cancer that affects mainly children from the age of 4 to 12 but can hit at any age.
The entry fee for chili contestants is $5 with set-up from 5 to 6 p.m. Judging starts at 6:30 p.m. WHIOTV News Anchor James Brown will be the guest judge.
Deadline for entries is December 28. Bring cards with recipes to share if desired. Tickets to attend the cook-off are $10. Lemonade, tea and coffee will be provided. There will be plenty of chili to sample with all the fixings plus a cash bar for pop and alcohol.
