ENGLEWOOD — Recently the Northmont Rotary learned about the Brunner Literacy Center, an outreach program of Precious Blood Church.
Relying heavily on volunteer retired educators, the Center is combatting the literacy problem in the Miami Valley. With an illiteracy rate of 30 percent, Ohio exceeds the national average of 25 percent, according to the managers of the Brunner Literacy Center.
