DAYTON — Grab your sneakers, bring your cape to run, walk, or fly as the Epilepsy Foundation of Western Ohio ignites the “FLAME of HOPE” 5k/Walk at Eastwood MetroPark (1385 Harshman Road, Dayton) for Epilepsy.
The 5K will take place on Saturday, May 14. Registration begins at 9 a.m. The run/walk will begin at 10 a.m. After the race the Epilepsy Foundation will honor its superheroes – those overcoming the daily challenges of epilepsy. Anyone who enjoys walking or running is invited to attend.
Funds raised will help send kids to Camp Flame Catcher, a camp designed to give children with epilepsy a typical camping experience with the benefit of trained epilepsy specialists.
Registration cost is as following:
Adult: $30
Child 6-12: $15
Child 5 & under: Free
Each paid registration comes with a free T-shirt until supplies last. T-shirts may also be purchased separately for $10 each.
