ENGLEWOOD — On Wednesday, May 11 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. the Frisch’s Big Boy located at 1095 South Main Street in Englewood, will be hosting a community night in conjunction with the Northmont High School DECA Chapter.
All carryout, dine-in, and drive-thru orders will be counted and 50 percent of the proceeds will benefit the Northmont DECA Chapter. During the event there will be hourly raffle prizes, which will include Northmont themed baskets and Big Boy themed baskets. Also, you will have the opportunity to have a meet and greet with the world famous “Big Boy.”
The proceeds from this event will help the Northmont DECA chapter offset costs associated with the conference trips that the chapter takes. These include district, state, and the International Career Development conference.
This past year the DECA chapter had a total of 76 members, of which 47 qualified for the state conference with 18 placing in the top ten. Along with that, the chapter had 10 students qualify for the International Career Development Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. The chapter also had an Ohio DECA elected officer. Though these are all exciting things, with success comes the need for more financial resources.
