CLAYTON — Celebrate Recovery, a ministry partner of Salem Church of God, will show the feature film ‘Home Run’ at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 17, in the church chapel. There is no admission fee.
The movie’s central character, Cory Brand, knows what it takes to win in the big leagues. But off the field, with memories of his past haunting him, his life is spiraling out of control. For those who may struggle with similar issues, ‘Home Run’ is a reminder that, with God, it’s never too late and freedom from the past is possible.
Salem hosts Celebrate Recovery sessions from 6-8:15 p.m. every Friday in Room 106. The class is open to everyone, and you may join at any time. The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to encourage fellowship through shared experiences and to celebrate God’s healing power in lives along the road to recovery.
