KETTERING — SICSA Pet Adoption Center is hosting a brand new event, Family Film Night on Friday, August 26 at 8 p.m. The film “Homeward Bound” will be shown outdoors at SICSA, 2600 Wilmington Pike, for a low-key event that welcomes people of all ages.
Local vendors will be on site from 8 to 9:15 p.m. with pet-related items for sale, as well as snacks and treats. The movie will begin at 9:15 p.m.
“Tackling Dayton’s pet overpopulation is a problem that must be solved by everyone in the community working together. Events like Family Film Night build those connections in a positive way,” says Nora Vondrell, Executive Director.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for seating in the lawn. Donations will be accepted at the door. For more information, find the event online at www.sicsa.org/homewardbound.
Founded in 1974, SICSA began as an alternative to the traditional animal welfare system with a mission of improving the lives of stray animals and promoting adoption. The organization runs an Animal Adoption Center in Kettering at 2600 Wilmington Pike, which is open seven days a week to those interested in bringing home a companion animal.
