National Day of Prayer set for May 4

ENGLEWOOD — On Thursday, May 4 from noon until 1 p.m., the annual Englewood National Day of Prayer will be held in front of the Englewood Government Center, 333 W. National Rd.

This year’s theme is ‘For Your Great Name’s Sake, Hear Us…Forgive Us…Heal Us,’ Dan. 9:19.

Mayor Patricia Burnside and Vice Mayor Thomas Franz will present and read the Englewood National Day of Prayer Proclamation. Rose Bellante, coordinator, will welcome all those attending, and Lee Behnken will lead with inspirational/patriotic songs interspersed throughout the event.

Pastors from area churches will lead in the following areas of prayer: repentance, government, Israel, military, churches, family, education, media, business/economy, police/fire/EMTs, arts / entertainment, revival. Chairs will be made available. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held inside the Englewood Government Center.
