‘The Art of Neighboring’ series to begin

CLAYTON — Salem Church of God will debut a new four-week teaching series, “The Art of Neighboring,” during the 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. worship services on Sunday, July 23.

“What if the Scriptures really were meant to be taken literally when they say “love your neighbor as yourself?” asked Steve Southards, lead pastor at Salem. “In this series we will talk about getting to know your neighbor as well as being a good neighbor.”

The series schedule:

* July 23 – “Who Is My Neighbor?” (9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.)

* July 30 – “Being a Good Neighbor” (9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.)

* Aug. 6 – “Don’t Be THAT Neighbor” (9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.; Steve Chiles, guest speaker)

* Aug. 13 – “Keeping the Light On” (9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.)

“During these four weeks, let’s explore how we can partner with God and bring heaven to our neighborhood … right here, right now,” Southards said.
