Aullwood’s Olde Fashioned Family Sundae set for Aug. 1

BUTLER TWP. — The 14th annual Olde Fashioned Family Sundae will be held at the Charity A. Krueger Farm Discovery Center on Saturday, August 1 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Aullwood is pleased to announce that Graeter’s Ice Cream is the Official Ice Cream Sponsor. This community ice cream social is a “must do” for everyone. Admission is free at the Farm and the Nature Center all day. Visitors may explore Aullwood’s trails, or visit the century-old bank barn to observe our farm animals.

Guests may walk in the herb and vegetable gardens, relax on the shaded porches in rocking chairs or enjoy a wagon ride for a modest fee of $1/person. There are lots of hands-on exhibits in The Farm Discovery Center as well as The Nature Center.

There is a nominal charge of $3 for each ice cream sundae with lots of toppings to choose from. All proceeds benefit Aullwood’s environmental education programs for children. The Olde Fashioned Family Sundae is made possible with support from Graeter’s Ice Cream, Butler Township Trustees, the City of Vandalia, the City of Union, and Kleptz YMCA.
