XENIA — A record 110 teams coming from West Virginia, Missouri, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio will visit the Greater Dayton Area in hopes of good spring weather and excellent competition. After a very successful Girls weekend with excellent soccer weather on Saturday and a little bit of rain on Sunday, the Ohio Galaxies Showcase committee is ready for another successful weekend.
The Galaxies Soccer Club will host their soccer Showcase on the finest sports turf in the Dayton Area. Athletes in Action, Xenia, the home turf for the Ohio Galaxies FC club and Showcase has two full-sized NCAA synthetic turf soccer fields and an interchangeable, fully lit, football/soccer field. The Showcase will also be held at Wright State University and University of Dayton which will provide excellent exposure to local area College Coaches.
Due to the high number of teams, the tournament will also make use of local area high schools Beavercreek, Bellbrook, Butler, Centerville, Springboro, and Wayne. Each High School has top level athletic sports turf fields which will accommodate all the competition in almost all weather conditions.
Local fans are welcome to experience high soccer competition; schedules and directions to the fields can be found at www.OhioGalaxiesFC.com.
