CLAYTON — The Northmont girls tennis team Thursday scored a 4-1 victory over previously unbeaten Troy to improve to 3-0 overall.
“Both teams came in undefeated, and it was a close match from start to finish with two courts going three sets,” said Northmont Coach Chrissy Hall.
Akilah Parker defeated Hannah Essick 6-3, 6-3 at 1st singles.
Marissa Anderson defeated Maggie Hennessy 6-2, 6-4 at 2nd singles.
Kennedy Harden pulled out a tough three set match over Ashley Bruns 7-5, 1-5, 7-5 at 3rd singles.
Michelle Hibbard and Morgan Grandfield came from behind to win 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 over Zoey Scancerello and Sierra Verstraten.
The Lady Bolts will play host to Bellbrook on Monday, August 17 at 4:30 p.m.
