Homestead Ladies Golf League seeks players

TIPP CITY — It’s near that time of year when women golfers are getting ready for a new season of play. For 47 years the women from Troy, Tipp City, West Milton, Englewood, Vandalia and Brookville, have been anticipating a new season of golf.

Friendly and fun is what the Homestead Ladies Golf League is all about. There are four flights, champion through 40 handicappers, (a place for everyone), on this Tuesday morning league. Play is from May through September and if you cannot be there for some reason, you are not required to find a sub. You simply call your partner or a member of the opposing team and let them know.

If you cannot play in the 18 hole league a 9 hole league is also available.

Snowbirds and those working in the education field can start when they are available.

“Can’t wait for the spring luncheon, league play throughout the summer and the fall carry in picnic,” said Luanne Spring hart, secretary of the Homestead Ladies Golf League.

If you would like more information about the Homestead Ladies Golf League please call Cindy at (937) 667-6675 or Mary Lou at (937) 837-4409.
