ENGLEWOOD — Englewood Christian Assembly of God continues its’ monthly outreach ministry committed to showing the love of God in a meaningful way by distributing free food to people in need.
The food will be distributed on Saturday, August 15 and thereafter every third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to noon (or earlier if the food has been completely distributed, it is first come, first served). On average, the church will have 10,000-plus pounds of food to give away.
“This month we should have our regular staple items like cereal, milk, canned goods along with a lot of fresh produce like corn on the cob, cucumbers, potatoes and more as well as frozen meat”, says Pastor Lisa Scarbrough.
The church has a simple commitment to treat their guests with dignity and respect and make coming to the food distribution as stress-free as possible. It is the church’s goal to be a “community of people helping people.” They are currently servicing those who live in the Northmont City School District.
The church utilizes the Dayton Food Bank’s financial requirements which can be found on the church’s website.
Guests will need to bring a photo ID with proof of residency (item such as a utility bill or piece of mail).
