ENGLEWOOD — City of Englewood Mayor Patricia Burnside is pleased to announce that photographer and author Dan Patterson has accepted an invitation to be the guest speaker at this year’s annual Englewood Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, November 19 at 7:30 a.m. at Concord United Methodist Church.
Patterson is a self-employed artist, photographer, graphic designer and private pilot. A native to the Dayton area, Patterson graduated from Colonel White High School in 1971 and achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Wright State University in 1976. Before entering into business, he worked as a staff photographer for NORTH News Tribune (at age 15), the Dayton Journal Herald and RAP Magazine.
In business for over 40 years, Patterson’s experience crosses the spectrum of commercial photography and design. He has authored over 20 books about aviation, has held numerous exhibits of his photographic work, has lectured all over the world and has achieved many honors and accolades. In addition to the guest speaker, four local ministers will offer prayers, Northmont High School’s Chamber Choir will perform and Northmont High School’s JROTC Color Guard will present the colors.
The public is invited to attend this event which brings the community together to break bread and count its blessings as friends and neighbors and to celebrate the joy of living in this community. Tickets are on sale at the Englewood Government Center for $7 each.
