ENGLEWOOD — The Sinclair College Community Art Class currently has an exhibit of its artwork in the Englewood Government Center lobby through April 6.
Students in the class use watercolor, acrylic, colored pencil and other materials in their artwork. Each painting represents a lot of thought and effort on the part of the artist and shows their own approach to a particular subject matter.
Some of the art pieces you will see on display have won awards in area art shows. The art class is held at the Earl Heck Community Center on Wednesday mornings and a majority of the students/artists in the class are made up of senior citizens. The class members receive no credits for the course but enjoy learning to create wonderful paintings. The class is taught by Shirley Harbaugh.
