ENGLEWOOD — On Saturday American Legion Post 707 at 200 W. National Road in Englewood updated its flagpoles and flags with the support of some local businesses.
The Legion added fresh new flags, new cords, new hardware and spray painted the flagpoles’ top globes gold. Vandalia Rental supplied the lift truck, Done Wright Door of Union towed the lift over and Brad Baily of Done Wright Door helped with the installation of the new flags, etc.
Englewood Do it Best Hardware donated the hardware, cords and paint. The Legion color guard supplied the new flags. The new flags are now flying crisply.
The old POW flag flown at the Legion was donated to the Englewood Post Office as a replacement flag as the post flag was starting to show its age.
